Course of Temptation is under development. It’s best described as in early access at the moment, as there are a lot of systems planned to be part of the complete experience that aren’t yet implemented.

However, even after something worthy of being called version 1.0 comes out, the project can continue to be developed. The game is a sandbox and there are many possibilities for expanding it.

Here is some of what’s planned for the immediate future, in no particular order.

• Dates and hangouts with NPCs – Implemented in 0.2: “Seize the initiative!”

  You should be able to pick NPCs to interact with instead of just relying on random events, and develop different types of relationships with them, including romantic ones.

• Friday afternoon sports and activities – Implemented in 0.4: “Sextracurricular activities”

  That empty space in Friday afternoons will be filled with sports and activities: football, cheerleading, swimming, and esports for starters. Games, too!

• Official relationships – In progress

  Make your crush your official boyfriend/girlfriend, and see other NPCs paired off as well. Some are polyamorous, some prefer to be exclusive… but will you cheat, or get someone to cheat with you?

• Greek house party

  The quad party, but wilder. For high levels of Exhibitionism and Disinhibition, including unique dares and challenges, group events, and doing some wild stuff in public.

• Impromptu campus events

  Sometimes you have gaps between classes, or you’re done with school at 3pm and don’t feel like heading into work. There should be trivia nights at dining halls, small gatherings of friends, karaoke, and other random stuff that pops up on your phone and encourages you to get out, socialize, and fill some hours.

• Pregnancy

  Unprotected sex should be a risk that you can mitigate through various means.

• Delivery boy/girl

  An event set where you’re delivering food around town. What will you do for a big tip?

• Consequences for failure

  Bad grades or failing to keep up with your weekly tuition payments should lead to setbacks which are recoverable and interesting to play through.

• Working at the River Rat

  A waiter and bartending job at the River Rat. You will be able to take a firm hand with the patrons, keeping them in line… or, alternatively, do whatever it takes to keep them happy with you.

• Social media and streaming – Implemented in 0.3: “Don’t clip that!”

  Social media is a big part of college! There should be a campus social media site, and you should also be able to pursue a career as a streamer.

• Interactions with professors – Implemented in 0.4: “Sextracurricular activities”

  You will be able to interact with professors, “persuading” them to give you a better grade or helping them out if your grades are already good.

• Student tutor

  An event set where you tutor other students, or are tutored yourself, with a bit of an ongoing storyline with the people you interact with.

• Weather, seasons, temperature, and seasonal events

  Homecoming, Halloween, Festivus, Spring Break. Chilly weather that can perk your nips, or heat and humidity that encourages you to dress skimpier.

• Unique class events

  Eventually each Block C and Block D class (these are the third and fourth courses you pick) will have a unique mini-storyline or event set, as well as every major (covering blocks A and B).

• Secondary skill implementation

  If you like video games you’re definitely all set, but a lot of other secondary skills don’t have much love yet. Dance lessons, a greenhouse next to the science center, getting people to model for photography… every skill should have an application and events attached to it.

• Crime and punishment

  Society has rules… and you should be able to break them! Depending on what you do, your RA, campus police, or the administration could get involved. How will you make up for it?

• School advancement

  In these early versions, it’s groundhog day — once you get through summer, you’re repeating freshman year. You should be able to advance in year, take different classes, and even eventually graduate.

• Strip club

  A surefire way to make some extra cash, but you never know who’ll be in the audience.

Please note that new things won’t necessarily be added in this order. Usually, two or more items that would be good for the next major content update are selected as possibilities and then narrowed down through a poll of Patreon and SubscribeStar supporters.

Note also that smaller additions and expansions of existing storylines and systems often occur between major updates, and these are not listed here.
